Draft — not yet legally reviewed

This document is a working draft prepared during development. It has not been reviewed by a solicitor and contains placeholders for company details. Do not rely on it. It will be replaced before Veean opens to the public.

Who we are

Veean UK Ltd (“Veean”, “we”) is the data controller for the personal data described in this policy. Our registered office is [TODO: registered address] and our company number is [TODO: company number]. We are registered with the Information Commissioner’s Office under reference [TODO: ICO registration reference].

What we collect

  • Account details — your name, email address and password when you create an account.
  • Order details — delivery address, order contents, and payment status. We do not store your full card number.
  • Usage data — how you move through the app, so we can see what works and what is broken.
  • Support messages — what you send us, and our replies.

Why we use it, and our lawful basis

  • To fulfil your order — performance of our contract with you.
  • To meet tax and accounting obligations — compliance with a legal obligation.
  • To keep the marketplace safe, including detecting fraudulent referrals — our legitimate interests.
  • Analytics and marketing — your consent, which you may withdraw at any time.

Who we share it with

We share what is necessary with the sellers who fulfil your order, the carriers who deliver it, our payment provider, and service providers who host or support the platform. We do not sell your personal data.

Because sellers and carriers are based outside the UK, delivering your order involves transferring your delivery details abroad. Where we transfer personal data outside the UK we rely on appropriate safeguards, such as the UK International Data Transfer Agreement.

How long we keep it

Order and transaction records are kept for six years to meet UK tax requirements. Account data is kept while your account is open, and deleted or anonymised after closure unless we must retain it.

Your rights

You have the right to access your personal data, to have inaccurate data corrected, to have data erased in some circumstances, to restrict or object to processing, and to receive your data in a portable form. Where we rely on consent, you can withdraw it at any time.

To exercise any of these, email privacy@veean.app. If you are unhappy with our response you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.
