The short version

The price you pay at checkout includes UK VAT and any import duties. You will not be asked for further payment when your parcel is delivered.

Who you are buying from

Goods on Veean are supplied by sellers based outside the United Kingdom, but Veean UK Ltd operates the online marketplace that facilitates the sale. Under UK VAT rules for online marketplaces, Veean UK Ltd is treated as the supplier for VAT purposes on those sales and accounts for the VAT to HMRC.

Our VAT registration number is [TODO: VAT registration number].

VAT on your order

UK VAT is charged at the standard rate of 20% unless the goods fall into a reduced-rate or zero-rated category. VAT is shown as part of your order total at checkout and on your order confirmation.

Import duties

For consignments with an intrinsic value of £135 or less, no customs duty is due and VAT is charged at the point of sale rather than at the border.

For consignments valued above £135, import VAT and any customs duty are payable when the goods enter the UK. We ship these orders on a delivered-duty-paid basis, which means we pay those charges and include them in the price you saw at checkout. The carrier will not ask you for money on delivery.

Refunds

Where you receive a refund for returned goods, the VAT element is refunded with it.
